I bought this Urban Decay eye pencil for those occasions when black kohl just seems a bit too harsh.
At thirteen pounds it was more than I’d have wanted to pay for something that it hadn’t occurred me I wanted until a sale rep harangued me into a make-over, but I suppose it’s a pretty average price for an eye liner that I wouldn’t be allergic too, and I haven’t been disappointed.
It’s nice and creamy, so it goes on easily, and it’s easy to blend. It also means that I don’t have to worry that it’s going to break in my bag and become useless.
The colour is nice and strong, and a bit shimmery. I like things that are a bit shimmery, they appeal to my inner magpie. I find that it goes well with brown eye shadows and other natural or neutral colours.
Once it’s on it pretty much stays put. I’ve just had to use soap on my hand to remove it after trying to take a picture to show you the colour. And after a night out I find that it’s mostly still there where I put it. It sometimes fades a little.
It comes in loads of other colours as well, from the usual blacks and browns, to blues, purples and everything in between.
All in all I’d say it’s a decent buy.
I really love UD’s 24/7 eyeliner pencils. They glide on so smoothly and have a lot of pay-off. I snagged a really good deal when they had their 15th anniversary palette on sale… I forget how much it was, but it came out to about $6-$7 per pencil. My favorite is “Perversion” — best blackest black I’ve ever used.

Oo, I might get that one then. The black I’ve got is getting so short I really should have got rid of it already, especially since I’ve not been that impressed with it.
